What Changes the Price
What Drives Spray-In Bedliner Cost
Three things decide where your truck lands. You hear about all of them before we start.
- Bed size. This is the big one. A short bed takes less material and time than a long bed, so short beds sit at the low end of the range and long beds at the high end.
- Prep work. An old drop-in liner has to come out before we spray, and surface rust or damage may need extra work so the liner bonds properly. Any prep is quoted up front.
- Bed condition. A clean, straight bed is the simplest job. Deep scratches, rust, or dents can add prep. Text us a photo and we will tell you what it needs and whether it changes the price.
- Fleet or dealer volume. Fleets get per-truck pricing with a multi-vehicle discount, and dealers get program pricing based on volume.

Spray-In vs. Drop-In
Spray-In vs. Drop-In Cost Over Time
A drop-in costs less on day one. Here is what that lower price can cost you later.
| Spray-in liner | Plastic drop-in liner | |
|---|---|---|
| Up front | From $475, most trucks $475–$575 | Usually cheaper to buy |
| Paint underneath | Bonded to the metal with no gap for water and grit | Gaps can trap water and grit against the paint |
| Rust risk | Covers the bed so scratches do not reach the metal | Trapped moisture and rubbing can lead to rust |
| Day to day | Stays put and stays quiet | Can shift and rattle on rough roads |
| Resale | Protects the bed, which helps when you sell | A beat-up bed underneath hurts resale |
If you already have a drop-in and want to switch, it comes out before we spray. We check the bed underneath and quote any prep before we start.

Cost FAQ
Spray-In Bedliner Cost Questions
How much does a spray-in bedliner cost in Bakersfield?
At Armor Coatings, retail spray-in bedliners start at $475. Most trucks run $475 to $575 depending on bed size. We confirm your exact price before any work starts.
Does a long bed cost more than a short bed?
Yes. Bed size is the main thing that sets the price. Short beds sit at the low end of the $475 to $575 range and long beds sit at the high end.
What can add to the price?
Prep. If your truck has an old drop-in liner that needs to come out, surface rust, or damage in the bed, it may need extra work before we spray. We quote that up front, so you hear about it before we start.
How much is a spray-in bedliner for my truck model?
Most retail trucks land between $475 and $575, and bed size matters more than the badge. Text us your truck year, make, model, and bed length and we will give you a price for your truck. [Per-model prices: confirm with shop]
Is a spray-in bedliner worth the extra cost over a drop-in?
For most people, yes. A drop-in costs less up front, but it sits loose on the bed, so it can shift, rattle, and trap water and grit against the paint. A spray-in liner bonds to the metal, so there is no gap underneath, and it follows every contour of the bed.
Do fleets and dealers pay the same price?
No. Fleet bedliners are priced per truck, and accounts with multiple vehicles get a multi-vehicle discount. Dealers get program pricing based on volume. Send us your truck list or call to set up pricing.
Will the price change after I drop off my truck?
We confirm your exact price before we start, including any prep the bed needs. The fastest way to an accurate quote is to text us a photo of the bed.
